The Practical Nursing diploma program is designed to prepare students to write the NCLEX-PN for licensure as practical nurses. The program prepares graduates to give competent nursing care. This is done through a selected number of academic and occupational courses providing a variety of techniques and materials necessary to assist the student in acquiring the needed knowledge and skills to give competent care. A variety of clinical experiences are planned so that theory and practice are integrated under the guidance of the clinical instructor. Program graduates receive a Practical Nursing diploma and have the qualifications of an entry-level practical nurse.
The objective of our Nurse Aide Program is to prepare students with the knowledge, skills and abilities essential for the provision of basic care to residents, clients, and patients in health care settings. The program consists of various units of instruction, laboratory experience, lecture and externship. Upon satisfactory completion of training, students may register with the State, and be qualified to assume entry level positions in a variety of health care settings.

The Patient Care Technician, PCT program trains the entry level healthcare student to perform nursing assisting at an advanced level of skills and knowledge. Performing skills of catheter insertion, dressing changes, electrocardiography, phlebotomy, and pre/postoperative care. The focus of the training program is to provide in class the students with the comprehensive understanding of and skills to be able to perform these essential nursing skills competently and safely in an active healthcare facility.
The Medical Billing and Coding Specialist, MBCS program is designed for individuals interested in pursuing professional level positions in the clinics, hospitals, insurance agencies, public health facilities, doctor's office, nursing homes, as well as being self employed. As a medical coder, you will be working with patients, doctors, nurses and insurance companies to accurately code diagnoses and procedures on patient's medical records ensuring proper reimbursement. The subjects covered are medical terminology as related to basic human anatomy and physiology, diseases, disorders and the coding for accounts receivable and payable. In conjunction with theory, laboratory practice with successful skill performance is also part of the curriculum; which provides the student(s) with hands on training.
The Electrocardiography Technician, EKG program is designed for individuals interested in pursuing an entry level of career in a healthcare facility. The subjects covered are medical terminology as related to cardiovascular technology, cardiac anatomy, physiology and electrophysiology, EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition. In conjunction with theory, laboratory practice with successful skill performance is also part of the curriculum; which provides the student(s) with hands on training. The focus of this training program is to in class provide the students with the fundamental knowledge needed to perform an EKG and recognize any abnormalities that reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills and attitudes required for an EKG technician.
The Phlebotomy Technician program trains the entry level healthcare student to work in an advanced skill area of medical offices, outpatient laboratories, or hospitals infusion therapy nursing and/or the inpatient laboratory department(s); in utilizing their primary responsibility of collecting blood specimens from patients or clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. The focus of this training program is to in class provide the students with the technical skills and fundamental knowledge needed to perform venipuncture completely and safely in the clinical lab and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills and attitudes required for a phlebotomist in an active healthcare institution.
